Fifty Six

December 14th, 2007 | No Comments | Posted in Featured Work

Fifty Six is a modern cuisine restaurant based in the Newington Green area of North London. The site started off as a design exercise before it was fully commissioned by the restaurant owners with whom I became good friends. The site went through two different designs before the final version which was released in January 2002.

In December 2007 I updated the design of the website and incorporated Matthew Craig’s MµCMS, a light weight content management system to allow the owners of the restaurant to update their own website.

And if you happen to live in the area, I thoroughly recommend that you check out this hidden gem.

Specific functionality requested was the use of an events calendar for both the Social Club Bar and the Sailing Club which operates during the spring to autumn months.

Urban Graphics provided a content management system built upon the open source platform Joomla and currently hosts and maintains the website content on their behalf.

The aim of the website is to provide members with up-to-date information and news that involves the club and the sailing activities they participate in.
